Last updated: September 1, 2026
Walker Insurance Agency respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit walkerins.biz or contact our agency, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
If you have questions about anything here, call us at (251) 422-9959 or email office@walkerins.biz.
1. Who We Are
Lee Walker Agency, Inc. d/b/a Walker Insurance Agency is an independent insurance agency licensed in the State of Alabama, with offices at 1203 US Highway 98, Suite 2B1, Daphne, AL 36526. We place personal and commercial insurance coverage for clients through the insurance carriers we represent.
This policy covers information collected through our website, by phone, by email, and in person at our office. Use of the website is also governed by our Terms and Conditions.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote, contact us, or become a client, we collect information such as your name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, and details about what you want to insure. Depending on the coverage, this may include property details, vehicle information, driving history, prior claims, business operations, revenue, and payroll.
Documents you upload. If you upload a declarations page or other insurance document through our website, we collect the information contained in it.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit our website, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages viewed, time and date of your visit, and the site you came from. We use this to understand how the site is used and to keep it working properly.
Information from third parties. As part of the insurance quoting and underwriting process, we may obtain information about you from consumer reporting agencies, motor vehicle records, insurance claims history databases, and the carriers we work with.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers or payment card information through our website forms.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Prepare insurance quotes and present coverage options
- Place, service, renew, and change your policies
- Respond to your questions and requests
- Assist you with claims
- Send you information about coverage, renewals, and agency updates, if you have agreed to receive it
- Understand how our website is used and improve it
- Meet our legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations
4. How We Share Your Information With Insurance Carriers
Walker Insurance Agency is an independent agency. To find you coverage and pricing, we share the information you provide with the insurance carriers and wholesale brokers we represent. This is the core of what we do — we cannot quote or place your coverage without it.
Depending on the coverage you are seeking, the information we share may include your name, address, date of birth, contact information, property details, vehicle information, driving record, claims history, and business details.
Each carrier handles your information according to its own privacy policy, which we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any carrier that issues you a policy.
We share only what is reasonably necessary to obtain a quote or place and service coverage.
5. Other Parties We Share Information With
Service providers. We use outside companies for things like email, website hosting, agency management software, and phone service. These providers have access to information only as needed to perform their work for us, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Legal and safety disclosures. We will disclose information when required by law, including in response to a subpoena, court order, or request from a law enforcement or regulatory agency, and when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our clients, our staff, or the public.
Business transfers. If our agency is sold or merged, client information may transfer as part of that transaction. We would notify affected clients.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Financial Privacy Notice
Alabama Department of Insurance Regulation 122 and the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act require us to tell you how we handle nonpublic personal financial information. This section explains what we collect, who we share it with, and how we protect it.
Information We Collect
We collect nonpublic personal financial information about you from the following sources:
- Information you give us on applications, quote requests, and other forms, and in conversations with our agents. This includes your name, address, ZIP code, phone number, email address, date of birth, the types of coverage you are seeking, and whether you currently have coverage.
- Documents you provide, including declarations pages you upload through our website. These typically contain your policy numbers, coverage limits, deductibles, premiums, and covered property or vehicles.
- Information about your transactions with us and with the insurance carriers we represent, including your policies, premiums, payment history, and claims.
- Information from consumer reporting agencies and other outside sources, including motor vehicle records, insurance claims history databases, and reports we obtain as part of the underwriting process.
Information We Disclose, and to Whom
To insurance carriers and wholesale brokers. We share the information above with the carriers and brokers we represent in order to obtain quotes, place coverage, service your policies, and handle claims. This is how an independent agency works, and we cannot get you a quote without it. This sharing is necessary to carry out the transaction you have asked us to perform.
To companies that perform services for us. We use outside providers for our agency management system, website and email hosting, marketing support, and phone and messaging service. These companies may use your information only to perform work on our behalf, under our direction. They are not permitted to use it for their own marketing or to share it with anyone else.
As permitted or required by law. We may disclose information in response to a subpoena, court order, or request from a law enforcement or regulatory agency, to insurance regulators and insurance support organizations, and where otherwise permitted or required by law.
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your information with outside marketing companies, lead generation companies, or referral partners for their own use. Your information goes only to the carriers and brokers who quote and service your coverage, and to the service providers who work on our behalf.
Because we do not share your nonpublic personal financial information with nonaffiliated third parties outside the sharing described above, there is no separate opt-out for you to exercise. Everything we share is necessary to provide you with the products and services you have asked us for.
You can still limit marketing contact from our agency at any time. See Section 12 for calls and emails, and Section 7 for text messages.
How We Protect This Information
We restrict access to your nonpublic personal financial information to agency staff who need it to provide you with products and services. Access to our systems is controlled by individual passwords. Information you submit through our website is encrypted in transit. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards intended to protect your information.
Former Clients
We continue to handle information about former clients under this same notice.
Questions
If you have questions about how your information is handled, call us at (251) 422-9959 or email office@walkerins.biz.
7. Text Messages and Mobile Information
If you provide your mobile number and agree to be contacted by text, we may send you text messages about your quote request, your policy, or agency updates you have opted into.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies. Most clients hear from us only when there is something specific to handle on their account. If you opt in to agency updates, expect no more than four messages per month.
Rates. Message and data rates may apply. Standard rates from your mobile carrier apply to any text message you send or receive. Walker Insurance Agency does not charge for text messages.
How to stop. You can withdraw your consent at any time, by any reasonable method, and we will honor it however it reaches us. Reply STOP to any text from (251) 422-9959, call our office at (251) 422-9959, email office@walkerins.biz, tell any of our agents, or write to us at the address in Section 16.
Text message opt-outs take effect immediately. Requests made by email, mail, or phone may take up to ten business days to process fully across our systems.
Opting out of text messages does not stop us from contacting you about an active policy or a claim.
How to get help. Reply HELP to any text from (251) 422-9959, or call (251) 422-9959 during business hours.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Our SMS Terms & TCPA Acknowledgement page has the full details.
8. Documents You Upload
If you upload a declarations page or other insurance document through our website, we use it only to prepare your quote and to place coverage. These files are stored securely and are shared only with the carriers we approach on your behalf.
You can ask us to delete an uploaded document at any time by calling (251) 422-9959 or emailing office@walkerins.biz.
9. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking
Cookies. Our website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device. We use them to keep the site working properly and to understand how visitors use it. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as well.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they view, and how they found us. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors. Google’s own privacy policy governs its use of that data.
We do not display advertising on this website and we do not use advertising cookies.
Chatbot. Our website includes a chat assistant. Conversations may be stored so we can respond to your question and improve the service. Do not enter Social Security numbers, payment card numbers, or other sensitive information into the chat — call our office instead.
10. How We Protect Your Information
Our website uses encryption to protect information you submit through our forms. Client information in our systems is accessible only to agency staff who need it to do their jobs, and access is protected by individual passwords.
Electronic systems are never completely secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
11. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep client and policy information for as long as you are a client and afterward as required by insurance regulations, licensing requirements, and our own records obligations.
Quote requests that do not result in a policy are kept for 4 years.
Records of your contact consent — including the date, time, and the exact consent language you agreed to — are kept for 4 years as proof of consent.
12. Your Choices and Your Rights
Stop marketing contact. You can opt out of marketing calls, emails, and texts at any time by calling (251) 422-9959, emailing office@walkerins.biz, clicking unsubscribe in any marketing email, replying STOP to a text, or telling any of our agents. We honor opt-out requests received by any reasonable method.
Opting out of marketing does not stop us from contacting you about an active policy or a claim.
Access and correction. You can ask us what information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Call or email us and we will help.
Deletion. You can ask us to delete information we hold about you. We will do so where we are able. Some information has to be retained under insurance regulations and records requirements, and backups may hold residual copies for a period after deletion.
Financial privacy. Section 6 explains how we handle your nonpublic personal financial information and who we share it with.
To make any of these requests, call (251) 422-9959 or email office@walkerins.biz.
13. Children’s Privacy
Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Links to Other Websites
Our website links to carrier websites and other outside sites. Once you leave walkerins.biz, this policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
15. Changes to This Policy
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. If we make a change that significantly affects how we handle information we have already collected about you, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you.
